Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika reunited on the silver screen for the film Ranabaali. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is billed as a period drama.
From the first look to the recently released Endhayya Saami song, the film has generated a lot of positive buzz.
The team is now focusing more on promotions, and the lead pair is sharing details through promotional interviews. However, the lead pair is being criticized for promoting themselves more than the film.
Already, team Ranabaali is facing criticism that the film's lead pair is not available to the regional media and is focusing on honoring promotional interviews with Hindi and Tamil journalists and YouTubers. The limited availability of Vijay and Rashmika to the Telugu people is being discussed on social media.
That said, Vijay and Rashmika have already given an interview to Suma, and more are in the pipeline. Interestingly, since it is a period film, director Rahul is trying to prepare the audience beforehand.
In the process, they are releasing special documentaries about the film, while Vijay and Rashmika are also sharing a lot in their interviews. However, an opinion is emerging on social media that both Vijay and Rashmika are talking more about themselves and their personal lives than about their experiences during the film's shoot or offering more insights into the world of Ranabaali.
Following their wedding, Ranabaali marks Vijay and Rashmika's first film together. Naturally, the film has generated considerable curiosity. At the same time, fans are eager to know more about their personal lives, given their star status. While sharing personal insights naturally attracts more attention, there needs to be a balance so that the film receives its due attention. Even if they spend only a few moments discussing their personal lives, those conversations tend to overshadow the rest of the discussion about the film.
Ranabaali hits screens on October 16th.
