Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipe has rejected Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale's invitation to join his party in the ruling NDA government.

Earlier on Tuesday, Athawale had invited the youth movement leader to join hands with him and his Republican Party of India [A] (RPI[A]), to which Dipke has rebuked saying"Par abhi ek mahine pehle toh me anti-national tha thumhare liye?" meaning "But one month ago I was an anti-national to you?

Abhijeet Dipke, the Boston University student, who hails from Athawale's Maharashtra, was at the centre of the youth-led Jantar Mantar protests demanding accountability in the education system in India over the paper leaks in exams run by the National Testing Agency, including NEET examination, that eventually culminated in heads getting rolled with the resignation of the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigning from his post.

After the success of the Jantar Mantar protests, the Cockroach Janta party (CJP) movement, led by Abhijeet Dipke is currently running the 'School Teekh Karo' campaign, bringing dilapidated conditions of schools across rural India, into the public attention. As part of this campaign, many schools do not have adequate facilities, including properly built classroom infrastructure, sanitation facilities, lack of computers, and also not enough teachers. This campaign was undertaken in response to many schoolchildren, who are the 'Gen Alpha' raised voices against various issues that they face in order to continue their education.

Meanwhile, Ramdas Athawale is a dalit leader from Maharashtra's Sangli district, who was associated with the Dalit Panthers movement in the 1970s, who now sides with the ruling NDA Block, and is a Rajya Sabha MP and Union MoS for Social Justice and Empowerment.
